My computer time tells me it's 6:31 am and I do not believe it.I know that my computer time isn't accurate, I still have to figure out why I do not want to change it. Maybe, it's reflective of the way I want time to come back an hour more? Maybe it's me wishing that we were all one hour, one year, one decade back? Or one century back?
A century ago? The internet was yet to be invented. Two world wars happened. In 1908, did anyone think there would be something like the internet? Or even the Holocaust?
Those who lived in 1908 probably also longed for the "good old days". Seems human nature has a penchant for the safety zone: "looking back, don't look ahead..yet!" (And something rings in my memory "Remember Lot's wife..." (That phase is wisdom!)
Yet, when we hear of the cliche "the good old days", there is a certainty ring to it. Truth is, there was never those "good old days". Well, if I was born in 1908 I would have to go through two world wars and no internet. There is only the NOW.
So maybe tomorrow, I'll fix my computer time and make it right. After all, it's a new day, what I have is the now and I hear the birds chirping a rather happy tune despite the irritating early humidity.I decide to put it positively like this ---It's a gorgeous summer day and it's NOW. It's 2008 and there is no war, no Japanese invasion, I am at peace and the sun is awake now----and should it get any hotter, there's an airconditioner.
As I type this initial blog entry, I also hear some Television evangelist asking for a "seed to plant". That isn't literal. That means money. I decide to ignore that because it annoys me.Instead I listen to the birds who are singing in harmony with the singers on TV singing "Reign, Jesus reigns!" Good, make me happy and let sing out.. I dislike begging evangelists in thousand dollar suits, but I love their music anyway!
There is always something in this world that makes annoys you or makes you happy . And it's normal as it was in 1908 I guess. Even better! Things do balance out and usually I must admit it's for the best!
